Gretchen Avery, RMT

Since becoming attuned as a Reiki Master Teacher in 1997, I have maintained a private hands-on practice and have also taught all levels of Reiki, including the Master level. What personally surprised me about Reiki was that not only did my physical conditions clear up fairly quickly with the Level I training, but also that the energy worked in subtle and beautiful ways to assist me with emotional and spiritual growth. To this day, I am awed by Reiki’s power as the beauty and amazing potential within each client unfolds and reveals itself. I feel very fortunate and deeply humbled to be part of this process.

My practice also includes hands-on sessions with an ancient Aztec healing modality and essential oil applications, as well as the Energy Psychology techniques of EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique or “tapping”) and the Ask and Receive method. I have also taught the therapeutic applications of essential oils throughout Central New York, and offer private consultations.

Self-empowerment is the cornerstone of my business, and it is a happy day for me when I see clients, students or business associates fly higher and attain more in their lives than they ever thought possible.

Roam Yoga with Mia Thomas, DPT

Classes every Thursday evening, 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Offering classes for beginner yoga students - modifications available to make this class accessible for all bodies.

While getting her doctorate in physical therapy at Ithaca College, Mia Thomas began her exploration of the body. After she became a physical therapist, yoga which began as a form of personal exercise, quickly altered her practice inside and outside of the clinic. Her exploration of yoga was helpful in rediscovering for herself and for her clients the connection between body and mind in a different light.

In June of 2017 Roam Yoga was created with the intent to make vinyasa flow yoga more accessible to everyone, including older adults who may have difficulty getting onto the floor, as well as people with injuries or with complicated medical conditions.
